Polish. Kozminski University. Masters in Administration, graduated 2021. Senior venture chief, Demant, Warsaw
Did the study course live up to your anticipations?
Of course, and to some degree it even exceeded them.
Having performed my very first degree, I believed there would be just one or two subjects I would locate truly appealing — or else it would generally be repeating things that I now knew, or more idea that I could not put into practice. But really there were being a number of subjects that were being appealing or legitimate to what I do. One particular of the programs, on creativity — which was not straight related to management — was so appealing that I made my individual workshop.
I began in IT as a application tester, so I made a workshop for testers named Exploratory Screening Masterclass, which was centered on what I learnt at Kozminski and in my qualified lifetime. I did the very first just one for charity, but now I do it commercially. I believed that at the finish of the study course I would just have a piece of paper to show that I am educated in managerial capabilities, but I also made anything centered on my studies.
Serbian. Shanghai Jiao Tong University: Antai. Masters in Administration (Intercontinental Business enterprise), graduated 2020. Professional products arranging, Porsche China, Shanghai
How do you use what you learnt on the study course?
What has served me most is that I learnt how to function in a multicultural atmosphere.
I also learnt a whole lot about executing business enterprise in China and its background, lifestyle, the Chinese way of considering, behavior and so on. This is the practical experience I take pleasure in the most and use on a every day basis. With my colleagues, Chinese and non-Chinese, I fully grasp how they consider much more, thanks to the worldwide character of the masters. It also supports my function with my Chinese clients: I fully grasp their demands, tastes and preferences much greater because I have been finding out and residing in China.
Having a grasp of both these mindsets will help me be more productive, successful and proactive in my function. It supports my individual progress but it also contributes to my company’s final results.
Indian. IIM Calcutta. Write-up Graduate Programme in Administration (MBA), graduated 2021. Senior affiliate, Boston Consulting Group, Mumbai
What was the most vital lesson you learnt on the study course?
I learnt to be courageous and question queries, even when there are no apparent responses.
We did an exercise in the course of a study course named “Digital Transformation of the World” exactly where we were being questioned to envision a magician who is aware of every little thing and to contemplate what we may possibly question them. We may possibly not get the responses we will need nowadays or tomorrow, but maintaining inquiring is a great get started and will help us have an open up way of thinking and steer clear of inertia.
I have also altered how I perspective mentoring. Right before signing up for the masters, I thought that reaching out for mentorship and feed-back was anything you did when you needed aid. I was stunned when my professors and seniors proactively guided me, be it in the course of research, occupation choices or job interview preparations. I realised that mentorship and feed-back go beyond helping when needed and are more about your all round progress.

Why did you come to a decision to research a masters in management?
I selected the study course because in my past function I experienced seen that so a lot of of my administrators did not truly know how to handle a crew. And considering the fact that I was a very little kid, I truly needed to be a chief.
When I was fourteen, some pals and I labored in a church in Cali in Colombia supplying breakfasts to individuals on low incomes — and even then I often experienced new thoughts and needed to acquire.
That is why I selected the masters in management, because I needed to understand how to motivate a crew, how to know if a crew is doing, how to acquire a crew — management is just one of my favourite things. Recognizing how to figure out how individuals function and how they interact with each individual other is anything I locate truly appealing. The masters has given me these capabilities.
