HHS is releasing over $4 billion in relief payments to safety net, rural hospitals

The U.S. Office of Health and fitness and Human Expert services by the Health and fitness Assets and Expert services Administration has announced around $three billion in funding to hospitals performing on slender margins which serve a huge proportion of vulnerable populations.

HHS expects to distribute the $three billion throughout 215 acute treatment amenities, bringing the full payments for safety internet hospitals from the Provider Aid Fund to $twelve.eight billion for 959 amenities.

It is also offering an additional $1 billion to specialty rural hospitals, urban hospitals with specified rural Medicare designations, and hospitals in modest metropolitan places.

HHS estimates the funding will offer relief to 500 rural hospitals. The payments range from $one hundred,000 to $4,500,000 for rural specified companies and $one hundred,000 to $2,000,000 for the other companies.

An unspecified total will go to dentists who use for relief.
