In a major aid to e-commerce majors Amazon India and Flipkart, the Karnataka Superior Courtroom on Friday granted an interim stay on the Opposition Commission of India’s (CCI’s) buy of an investigation into some of the firms’ organization procedures.
The buy was delivered by Justice P S Dinesh Kumar on a petition submitted by Amazon, seeking an interim stay on the CCI probe buy, after listening to the make a difference above the previous three days. The court has granted the respondents eight weeks to file a counter.
“While we welcome and respect the decision of the Hon’ble Superior Courtroom of Karnataka, this is just a action in the legal system. We are self-confident about our compliance,” Amazon reported on a statement pursuing the HC buy.
Amazon had manufactured CCI, the Delhi Vyapar Mahasangh (DVM) and Flipkart as respondents.
