Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday unveiled a “enhancement-oriented” manifesto for the upcoming assembly polls in West Bengal, promising an income scheme for all people, a university student credit score card and structure of a task pressure to look at the inclusion of several communities beneath the OBC category.
Saying that her governing administration has decreased poverty in the state by 40 per cent, the manifesto also promised to improve annual economical support to farmers from Rs 6,000 to Rs ten,000.
“For the first time, every single relatives in Bengal will be extended a bare minimum essential income. Underneath this, one.6 crore normal category people will get Rs five hundred a month, whereas SC/ST category people will get Rs one,000. The funds will be right transferred to the woman head of a relatives,” Banerjee stated.
A new university student credit score card scheme will be released with a credit score limit of Rs ten lakh and an fascination rate of only four per cent will be charged, the West Bengal chief minister stated.
“We will set up ten lakh new MSMEs and 2000 new significant industrial models in the next five many years,” she stated.
“We shall appoint a Special Activity Pressure to look at and propose OBC standing to all the communities which are not recognised as OBCs like Mahishya, Tili, Tamul and Sahas. We will also request the Federal government of India to grant ST standing to Mahatos,” the TMC chief stated.
A Special Growth Board would be set up for the enhancement of Terai and Dooars area in north Bengal, she stated.
